HUD has requested a 25 percent increase in its Information Technology spending budget for FY2011 – to $549 million, from $438 million. In addition, the U.S. Senate passed the 2010 Appropriations Act, which provided HUD with between $80 million and $180 million specifically for information technology projects that support business transformation initiatives.
Jerry E. Williams, CIO at HUD, and Chris S. Niedermayer, Deputy CIO at HUD, discussed what the agency plans to do with this money and opened up about spending priorities at a recent FedSources Executive Breakfast.
