Director of Client Market Analysis and Support

FedSources, the leading provider of market intelligence in the government marketplace, is seeking a Director to head up its Client Market Analysis and Support team. This position supervises a client-centric team of employees who contribute information and research services to FedSources Business Intelligence clients and portal.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Initial assessment of client research requests with respect to availability of relevant information and time required to complete
  • Mentoring/coaching advanced research group staff
  • Interfacing with client-facing staff on a daily basis to clarify requests, provide estimated completion times, and assist in preparation of explanations to clients of deliverable content and turnaround times
  • Manage production of Federal Agency Profiles/Account Plans; providing strategic direction of Federal Government Agencies for FedSources clients.
  • Lead the scope and future direction of the product and related services
  • Stay abreast of trends in the IT industry
  • Manage the Data and Analytics team who have responsibility for the Task Order tool data, contracts data, people and companies.
  • Manage Library Specialists
  • Assure proactive, timely and complete acquisition of budget and other documents through the Freedom of Information Act Process

Requirements:

  • Must have excellent analytical and writing skills
  • 5+ years of public sector market research experience
  • Bachelors degree
  • Exceptional leadership, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Experience leading market research team or market consultancy practice preferred
  • Must have intellectual curiosity (government and IT related), creative problem solving skills, initiative, enthusiasm, research skills, and analysis aptitude
  • Displays consistency and dependability with attendance and time management
  • Ability to lead and work as a team contributor with minimal supervision
  • Confidence, self-starting ability and comfort with ambiguity; team player
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work with internal and external clients to define requirements and meet or exceed expectations

  • Must have Federal sales experience

Additional requirements:

  • Four-year college degree
  • Previous sales performance recognition a plus – presidents club, etc…
  • Minimum 4 years of government market field sales experience
  • Former market intelligence user experience
  • Dynamic, positive and compelling personality
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • State & Local government experience a great plus.
